Red dry wine; Protected Geographical Indication Slopes of Ainos, Kefalonia.

Mavrodaphne (in dry vinification).

Destemmed without crushing, maceration, fermentation and aging 6 to 8 months in oak barrels, filtering and bottling. Aging in the bottles for about one year in the wine cellar, before it was released to the market.

12,5% vol.

Purple-red color. Pleasant bouquet with intense aromas of red fruits (blackberries, plums and ripe cherries) combined with noble spices and oak hints. Impressive long aftertaste with tobacco notes.

It accompanies ideally hunting, meat, fine sauces and red fish, pasta, cheese and fruit. Served at 16-18 ° C.

Mavrodaphne 2012: Gold Medal at Berliner Wein Trophy 2016.

Daphne-Daphne 2016: Wine Advocate 2019: 89+/100

Jancis Robinson 2019: Foivos Daphne-Daphne 2016: 16/20: “Mid to deep cherry red. An aroma that combines sweet black cherry and something a bit like smoked meat, which becomes much more smoky and stony with air. Very good acidity and juicy cherry fruit. Firm, dry texture. Interesting to try a dry, unfortified Mavrodaphne”.
