Methyse
Red naturally sweet wine, Protected Designation of Origin Kefalonia from sun-dried Mavrodaphne grapes; Product of organic viticulture; Vintage 2004.
Its name is inspired by a maenad, Methyse, depicted and identified by name along with the rest Dionysus entourage, on an ancient wine vessel (crater).
Mavrodaphne
We lay and dry in the sun the grapes of the varieties Mavrodaphne and Korinthiaki for about 10 to 15 days; after that, destemmed, pressing, alcoholic fermentation and a minimum of 6 months aging in oak barrels; filtering and bottling.
14,5% vol.
Matured deep purple color; velvet touch with flavors of plum, raspberry, blueberry, light smoke and spice; fragrant notes of precious chocolate . Good grip of tanins and very strong sense of pleasure on the finish.
Excellent aperitif, but mostly an ideal dessert; it goes perfectly with strong chocolate sweets, ice-creams and fruits of the season. Served at 8-10 o C.
