Antiope
Red natural sweet wine, Protected Designation of Origin Kefalonia from Mavrodaphne grapes; Product of organic viticulture; Vintage 2007.
Antiope was the name of the mythical queen of the Amazons, but also the name of Foivos Estate owner’s mother, to whom the wine, the name of the wine and the old photo in the label are dedicated.
Mavrodaphne
Destemmed, grape pressing, alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, interruption of alcoholic fermentation by addition of wine alcohol, aging in oak barrels for 8 months, filtering and bottling.
16% vol.
Dark purple color. Aromas of ripe red fruits and blackberries with cinnamon and chocolate notes.
Ideal as an aperitif or a dessert. It combines perfectly with ice-creams, strong chocolate sweets and seasonal fruits. Served at 8-10˚ C.
