Muscatel 2015 undersea

White dry wine; Protected Geographical Indication Slopes of Ainos, Kefalonia

A small number of bottles of Muscatel 2015 are aged submerged in the sea, in a depth of 22 m. The wine aged in the sea in laboratory conditions (constant temperature, perfect absence of oxygen, salinity, pressure of 1.500 kg per cm2, darkness),was incorporated perfectly in the underwater environment and in a "metaphysical" way brings the sea breeze and iodine in the glass! The color remained like not a day passed.


Muscatel

Destemmed, pressing, fermentation with selected yeasts at low temperature, filtering and bottling.

12,5 % vol

Bright greenish color; extremely rich aroma, fresh taste like morning dew on a blooming rose, and hints of fresh exotic fruits; fresh and intensely fruity aftertaste.

Ideal as aperitif; accompanies perfectly creative cuisine and sauces, fine seafood, cheeses, and fruits. Served at 8-10˚ C.

Moschatella 2018: Wine Advocate 2019: 91/100:”The 2018 Muscatel is a vigorous Muscatel with a lot of energy, and that means both aromatics and acidity. Gloriously fresh, its nose can make an impact from a foot away. It is not thick and dense, but there is plenty of grip on the finish. As it airs out and warms up, it also puts on weight and seems ever more impressive, a pretty serious white that will go well with relatively bland seafood dishes or on its own. This lively Muscatel will be a perfect wake-me-up in warm weather.
